Daumantas Tomas Pilipavičius is a Lithuanian artist known for his commitment to both painting and art restoration. He studied at the Vilnius Academy of Arts, earning his master's degree there in 2005. He subsequently advanced his training, completing postgraduate studies and receiving the academic degree of licentiate of arts in 2009.
Pilipavičius has played an active role in Lithuania’s art scene, becoming a member of the Union of Lithuanian Artists in 2009. He is part of the painters section, which reflects his main artistic focus. Throughout his professional life, he has held eight solo exhibitions and participated in more than thirty group exhibitions, bringing his work to a wide public. Additionally, he has taken part in over twenty plein air symposiums both domestically and internationally, further broadening his artistic experience.
Alongside his accomplishments as a painter, Daumantas Tomas Pilipavičius is also a qualified restorer of mural paintings. His dedication to art conservation is further illustrated by his membership in the Union of Lithuanian Restorers, which he joined in 2012. Through balancing the roles of creator and conservator, he demonstrates a holistic approach to visual art.
His artwork encompasses a range of subjects, including portraits, landscapes, and still lifes. He is especially engaged with the city of Vilnius, often finding inspiration in its architecture and historical background. This connection to his surroundings is evident in his art, through which Pilipavičius honors the distinctive identity and lasting spirit of Vilnius.
