More about this artwork

The painting captures a lively and slightly abstract harbor scene, dominated by bold strokes and vibrant colors. Two boats are prominently featured in the foreground. The first boat is larger, painted primarily in black with details in blue and yellow, highlighting various parts of the boat such as the cabin and deck. The second, smaller boat is more subdued in color, with tones of gray and subtle blues. Both boats are moored at a quay, suggesting a moment of rest or preparation. In the background, abstract representations of other marine elements and possibly more boats or buildings at the water's edge can be seen. The sky and water are rendered with loose, expressive brushstrokes in shades of blue, green, and white, conveying the lively, ever-changing nature of the seascape. The overall atmosphere is dynamic yet harmonious, with a sense of movement conveyed through the artist's energetic painting style.

Gediminas Milieška is a young artist who is just starting out, but his first works are promising.

The artist prefers large patches of colour, vivid and pure colours, and expresses his feelings with bold, clear strokes. Gediminas' works are distinguished by their sincerity and sense of mood, as if a fresh seaside wind were blowing off the canvas.

In 2008, the artist took part in a joint exhibition "First Try".
