More about this artwork

In the foreground, tall blades of grass dominate the scene. Among them, clusters of purple and white flowers add a splash of color. The grass bends slightly, suggesting a gentle breeze. Beyond the grass, a vast, open field stretches towards the horizon. The field is bathed in soft hues of lavender and pink. In the distance, a line of trees marks the boundary of the field. Above it all, the sky glows with the warm, mellow colors of a setting sun. Soft yellows, pinks, and purples mix together, creating a peaceful evening atmosphere. The whole scene is a tranquil portrayal of nature's quiet beauty.

Representing a wave of young talented painters, she describes her work as "seen and dreamt".

"Seen and dreamt, because you never want to rely blindly on what your eyes see. It is best to see, forget and then remember the vision after it has been passed through you, when it is more of an emotion than a specific image with particular details," says the artist.

Her favourite subjects are landscapes and plants, which she depicts with great love and attention to detail. The landscapes, most of which focus on the nature of the Curonian Spit, reveal the dreamy beauty of the seaside, shrouded in a haze of memories. The landscapes here are bathed in the bright rays of the setting or rising sun, or immersed in soft clouds that separate them from the rest of the world. The strip of land itself is often suspended between the sky and the mirrored surface of the water, like a magical island in infinity.

Most of the paintings are devoted to spring, with the soft, first blossoms shimmering in them, symbolizing, as the artist says, the joy of life itself. The dunes and the meadows at their foot are drowned in them. And perhaps the most charming part of these paintings is the tranquillity they evoke, the ease that we feel in the wild nature. This feeling is also present in the space around them.
