More about this artwork

The painting features a vast, expressive sky, painted with sweeping strokes of lavender, pink, and shades of gray, creating a dynamic and almost stormy atmosphere. It contrasts sharply with the dark, foreboding ocean below, rendered in deep blues and blacks. The ocean's surface is subtly textured, suggesting gentle ripples and waves. The horizon line where the ocean meets the sky is barely discernible, merging the elements in a seamless flow of color and motion. This interplay of light and dark palette evokes a sense of the ephemeral boundary between day and night, or perhaps a metaphorical depiction of hope amidst darkness.

Artist

Painting for me is my own reflection with the environment around me, which contains both wonderful, heart-touching happy events, as well as depressing, sad or even traumatic events. Certain experiences and emotions are sometimes easier for me to convey in paintings than in words, also on purpose to touch the viewer's inner feelings and experiences. Abstract art gripped me with its freedom of creativity. After all, everyone discovers something personal while looking at the abstract painting. And it doesn't matter what kind of emotions it evokes - positive or negative. If my work somehow touches the viewer's inner self, my goal is achieved successfully.

In Dalia's work, the abstracted landscape merges with the horizons of inner experiences and becomes an inseparable unity. The artist's paintings are characterised by gradual colour transitions and a soft, gentle line giving a surreal, dreamlike impression.

To understand abstract art I studied at the London Morley College. My works have been exhibited in the biggest cities of Europe - Milan, Madrid, Rome, Paris, London. Also in Kaunas, Alicante, Fuerteventura, Genoa, Monaco, and Venice. My painting "Jazzy" was included among the world’s best 400 art pieces of 2021 and was displayed in the London Art Biennale.
