More about this artwork

The painting, bathed in a warm, golden hue, portrays a serene landscape at dusk. In the foreground, a cluster of vibrant yellow flowers speckles a small, grassy hill, inviting the eye into the scene. A narrow, barely visible path winds gently through the grass, suggesting quiet footfalls and whispered breezes. Tall, lush trees dominate the middle ground, their leafy branches swaying in a silent dance, mingling shadows and sunlit patches. Amidst these giants, a single slender pole stands, possibly a forgotten streetlamp now overtaken by the tranquil wilderness. The background fades into a soft, misty horizon, where the outlines of more trees can be faintly discerned, shrouded in dusky light. Above this tranquil woodland scene, a shy sun peeks through a haze, casting a gentle glow across the landscape, enhancing the sense of calm isolation and peaceful silence that envelops this natural tableau.

Artist

The artist grew up in a family of artists, so painting has been close to him since childhood.

His paintings have evolved over time - mastery only comes after years of practice, but his favourite genre is still landscape. The artist has a sensitive relationship with nature, the images of his childhood summers in the countryside are strongly imprinted in his memory, and even now he tries to spend as much time as possible surrounded by nature. Rimantas's landscapes are flooded with a soft, romantic, even wistful light, they are not swept by the wind or darkened by storm clouds. His favourite motifs are seaside sunsets and dawn-gilded lakes, to which he adds a cosy, warm colouring. The author's works are like the most beautiful summer memories.

Rimantas' paintings are spread all over the world - many of them have travelled to America, Europe and some exotic countries such as Jamaica and India.
