More about this artwork

In the painting "Blooming of apple trees," the canvas depicts a serene rural scene accentuated by the vibrant bloom of apple trees. At the heart of the composition stands a robust apple tree in full blossom, its branches heavy with dense clusters of white flowers that nearly obscure its trunk and spread luxuriously over a modest wooden barn beside it. The barn, characterized by its simple structure and a gently sloping roof, suggests the rustic charm of countryside life. The background features a soft, muted sky streaked with hints of lavender and blue, creating a calm and tranquil atmosphere. To the right of the main tree, a few slender trees line the edge of the scene, partially bare but also adorned with signs of spring growth. The ground unfolds in a tapestry of green, infused with dashes of yellow wildflowers that suggest the lushness of the season. This rural idyll captures the essence of spring’s renewal and the simple beauty of nature’s blossoms.

I was born in Panevėžys.  Since 1974 I have been actively participating in group exhibitions and organizing solo exhibitions.I paint still lifes and landscapes. Painting is a meditation for me. Therefore, my canvases are filled with a special inner peace, freedom, sincerity, optimism and joy of life.

My paintings speak about feelings and worldview. Lithuanian meadows and fields are a source of inspiration. Flowers and meadows are like suspended moments of intense life, inviting us to calm down and look back to nature. Wide fields, brushed by the wind, multicoloured flowers, incense, bouquets of outdoor flowers vibrating in the summer air. My paintings are like poetry, reminding us of the essence of life - to find inner peace, to be at peace with ourselves and with nature, to remember, or to learn anew, to stop and enjoy the moment with sincerity.

In 2005 I was awarded the status of Artist.

In 2015, she was the winner of the 2nd prize of the republican folk art competition exhibition STILL LIFE.
