"I grew up in a little town of Marijampolė, where I graduated gymnasium and art school. Afterwards, I studied and graduated architecture in Vilnius, where I live and work as an architect until today.
In life and in my art I see my surroundings through architect's eyes, looking for connections between all things, analizing the surroundings and taking everything apart into small details and then trying to put them back together in my own way - a little bit different, a little bit abstract, maybe even a little bit unreal.
Painting, graphical arts and art in general always has been very close to me - as an activity and passion. Even now I find a lot of pleasure in painting, drawing or sculpting something out of wood. Whenever there is some free space in my head it is momentarily filled-up with thoughts about my next painting, next art project. There are literally not enough hours in a day to do all the things I would like to..." - says the artist.
Domantas Kličius arranges his landscapes as if they were puzzles made of individual
colour planes, playing with their proportions and brightness. Result is aesthetically pleasing and perfectly complements contemporary interiors.
