More about this artwork

The artwork captures a street lamp hanging from an ornate, iron bracket. The lamp, which has a classic, bell-like shape, is intricately detailed, showing the play of light and shadow across its surface. The mounting arm is elegantly curved with a swirl motif at the end that adds a touch of refinement. Below the lamp, part of a sign is visible, bearing the word "APOTIKA," suggesting the location might be near or attached to a pharmacy. The sign is partially cut off, and ornamental details can be spotted on its frame, complementing the overall vintage aesthetic of the scene. The image is rendered in what appears to be pencil, offering a range of textures and strokes that give depth and realism to the depiction.

Artist

Since childhood I feel attraction to the art, although my life took a turn towards exact sciences, until... my daughter had entered art school and infected me. Therefore, in 2018 I finished Vilnius Justinas Vienožinskis Art School adults programme.

In my works I constantly seek for myself, trying different technics and never can decide which one is the most pleasant, closest to my inside world, because all is determined by mood – I am a person of moods. I derive inspiration from surroundings, have to transmit everything through myself and to share personal experience – my doubts, discoveries, wonder or firm belief.
