More about this artwork

The painting displays a vibrant amalgamation of abstract forms and intense colors. Swirling shapes in fiery red and orange interlock with cooler tones of blue and teal, their edges outlined in crisp white, making the colors pop against a textured, gray backdrop. Decorative elements, like small circles and curving lines, are distributed throughout the piece, adding a rhythmic quality to the composition. The forms seem almost fluid, as though they are in motion, overlapping and interacting dynamically across the canvas. The effect is both energetic and harmonious, drawing the viewer's eye across the painting's surface to explore the intricate details and the interplay of color and shape.

Rimantas Šlipavičius is a stained glass artist who has decorated many interiors in private apartments, houses, administrative buildings, e.g. He has also painted the walls of the National Defence Museum, the lobby of the Rudamina Farm, etc.

The strong influence of stained glass can also be felt in painting. Rimantas Šlipavičius' canvases feature abstract compositions of brightly coloured geometric figures. Bright, pure colours playfully change each other like a kaleidoscope. Sometimes they fall into shimmering mandalas, sometimes they engage in a dialogue with the canonical representatives of modernism. These paintings are perfect for modern interiors.

The artist's paintings have been acquired by collectors and art lovers in the USA, Germany, Great Britain and other countries.

Since 1981, he has had around 30 solo and group exhibitions. All of them in Lithuania - in Vilnius, Klaipėda, Alytus, Šiauliai and other cities. The last exhibition (paintings and stained glass) was held in Vilnius, in the hall of the Union of Architects.
