More about this artwork

The painting depicts various glass objects arranged on a table, illuminated possibly by natural light filtering through a draped backdrop. The scene includes a large pitcher with a prominent handle and an open top, alongside smaller glass bottles with narrow necks, one with a visible cork. A wine glass with a stem stands near the foreground, while a magnifying glass lies flat, its lens reflecting and distorting the light playfully. The composition plays with transparency and reflections, the glassware casting gentle shadows and refracted images on the draped cloth beneath them. The color palette is soft, dominated by muted blues, grays, and hints of lavender, giving the still life a calm, serene atmosphere. The brushwork is loose and expressive, contributing to the overall ethereal and delicate quality of the piece.

Artist

"I was watching my Dream, which was as far away as the moon. When I looked from the other side, I saw that I was standing on it. Now I am painting. I work with the desire for the painting to carry an emotion, to be alive and necessary.

What came before that? I was born and "grow up" in Vilnius. In 2005 I graduated from the VAA with a master's degree in design. Furniture, interior design, graphic design, or cardboard toys - my work has always been about creativity and teamwork. I feel grateful that fate gives me great people to be around, who support, advise, encourage and encourage me to grow. This is what happened with painting. I had teachers who inspired me with courage, lightness and freedom. With painting I found inner stability and peace. It is so special to speak in colours and strokes. It is "This Is This"," says the artist.

Lina's work is a  burst of colour. She boldly chooses a rich, vibrant palette and works in an expressive manner on large format canvases. Whether applied thickly or in thin layers, the artist's energy, drive and joie de vivre can always be felt.
