More about this artwork

Two ripe apples, one slightly larger than the other, sit prominently on a draped cloth with soft creases and folds. The apple on the left displays shades of red and yellow, suggesting a flush of ripeness, while the slightly smaller apple is primarily yellow, hinting at a different variety. Aside from these apples, there's a deep blue plum that adds a contrasting color to the composition. Near the plum, a small paring knife with a metallic blade and black handle lies casually on the cloth, its placement suggesting recent or intended use. The background is muted, consisting of soft brown hues, providing a neutral backdrop that highlights the vibrant colors of the fruit. The light casts gently across the scene, illuminating the fruits and creating subtle shadows on the cloth, enhancing the texture and dimension of the setup.
