More about this artwork

The painting features a striking monochromatic blue background with abstract shapes and forms primarily in blue and white, accented with touches of green and black. Dominating the canvas is a large, ethereal figure that seems to be in motion—its form elongated and flowing, suggesting a dance or a fluid movement. The figure appears almost ghostlike, painted with transparent and overlapping strokes that give it a sense of depth and translucency. Towards the bottom of the canvas, a series of green and black strokes creates a contrast, possibly representing the ground or a form of vegetation, adding a touch of earthiness to the otherwise airy composition. The overall atmosphere is one of freedom and dynamic movement, evoking a sense of being in tune with nature’s rhythms.

"...D. Ivanauskaitė's works takes us to the world of transcendental thought and artistic feelings. In the colored sheets of the linocuts, where the abstract space penetrates and the confusing trajectories of the migrating forms emerge, we recognize the long-awaited silence of the blue evening, the indescribable giddiness of blooming gardens, and the frightening mystery of the forest density. These are visual meditations, enveloped in light poetic cloaks, associatively conveying the connection with the ubiquitous nature and the personal experience of existence. " Art critic G. Gurnevičiūtė / Meeting with Daliutė Ivanauskaitė's work./
