More about this artwork

The painting presents an abstract landscape, dominated by a vibrant blue tone that captures the essence of water. A portion of the composition dips into deeper shades of blue and green, suggesting either the depth of the water or the presence of land. The surface of the depicted water is intricately textured with a web-like pattern of white and light blue, which might represent ripples or light reflecting off the water's surface. The gentle transition of hues, combined with the mosaic of fine cracks and speckles, conveys a serene yet dynamic aquatic environment, almost like viewing the surface from a close distance. The upper part of the canvas is suffused with lighter shades, enhancing the feeling of a bright sky reflecting on water. Overall, the artwork captures a tranquil moment in nature, emphasizing texture and color to convey its beauty.

"...D. Ivanauskaitė's works takes us to the world of transcendental thought and artistic feelings. In the colored sheets of the linocuts, where the abstract space penetrates and the confusing trajectories of the migrating forms emerge, we recognize the long-awaited silence of the blue evening, the indescribable giddiness of blooming gardens, and the frightening mystery of the forest density. These are visual meditations, enveloped in light poetic cloaks, associatively conveying the connection with the ubiquitous nature and the personal experience of existence. " Art critic G. Gurnevičiūtė / Meeting with Daliutė Ivanauskaitė's work./
