More about this artwork

The painting depicts a tranquil seascape at sunset. A radiant sun hangs low in the sky, casting a warm glow that subtly shifts from rich oranges to soft pastel hues of lavender and light blue, which are reflected in the gently rippling sea beneath. The horizon is a clear, thin line dividing the water from the sky. In the foreground, dark silhouettes of rolling dunes or perhaps a rough, grassy terrain subtly frame the bottom edge of the canvas, enhancing the depth and drawing the viewer’s eye towards the distant sun. The atmosphere conveyed is peaceful and contemplative, evoking a sense of quiet solitude. The texture across the painting suggests a delicate interplay of light and shadow, adding a tactile depth to the serene scene.

Artist

“I use various art techniques (oil painting, pastels, mixed painting techniques) to photograph. The main source of inspiration is nature, its infinite diversity, beauty, mystery, the change of seasons. In the spring, the creative drive is aroused by the awakening life and light, the joy that spreads everywhere. In autumn - the depth of color, saturation, mystery. I convey the states and moods of nature close to impressionist painting in plastic. The paintings and pastels are inspired by the moment, color and light, painted with vivid, moving strokes. My main focus is on conveying mood, impression and feeling.”

Artist studied at the Vilnius Academy of Arts and did an internship at the Cite Internacionale des Arts in Paris.
