I was born in Lazdijai district. Graduated from school in Mosėdis.
In 1968-1973 I studied at the Faculty of Construction-Architecture of KPJ.
After graduation I worked as a foreman in various Lithuanian construction sites.
I had to travel a lot, observe the nature of different parts of Lithuania. This is where my inspiration for painting comes from.
In 1982, I got a job as a construction engineer at the Silk Combine.
In the evenings, I started studying painting at A. I began to study painting at the Martinaitis Art School, with the painter Alfonsas Vilpišauskas.
Finally, since 1990, I have devoted all my time to painting.
