More about this artwork

In this imaginative painting, we see a whimsically stacked arrangement of figures, evoking a sense of playful curiosity. At the top, a cheerful yellow bird perches precariously, its round eyes beaming with simplicity and joy. Directly beneath the bird, a whimsical representation of a cow appears, structured in what seems to be segments of vibrant colors and shapes. The cow's head is a soft, milk-white triangle with sky-blue patches over its eyes, adding an air of innocence. A mustard-yellow shape forms its mouth, creating a gentle contrast.Below the head, the cow's body displays layers of circles and other geometric forms, painted in shades of grey, white, and charcoal, with a singular red spot adorned with a small heart, perhaps symbolizing warmth and life. Around the cow's neck hangs an orange, bell-shaped object, perhaps indicative of a bell typically worn by cows. The entire figure is outlined with bold, black lines that define and separate each colorful and imaginative segment, while a series of black dots trail off toward the bottom of the canvas, leading the viewer's eye downward and inviting them to ponder where this path might lead. The overall effect is a charming blend of playful abstraction and heartfelt symbolism.

Artist

Born in 1980 Panevėžys, Lithuania

My passion for art began in early childhood. While I can't recall my first drawing, the drive to create has always been a constant in my life, enveloping me in an unending creative journey that continues to this day. For me, creativity is a vital means of self-expression, a way to convey and reveal my innermost self.

Upon completing my education, I immersed myself in creative pursuits, including artistic education for children, conducting workshops, working in advertising, and decorating walls. I actively participate in group exhibitions and organize solo shows of my work.

My primary tools are ink, pen, markers, acrylic ink, acrylic paint, paper, and canvas. Although I have a strong affinity for graphics, I am equally intrigued by the exploration and mastery of unconventional techniques and materials. My aim is to surprise the viewer with works that evoke the essence of the sea, sun, dunes, sand, and the aroma of good coffee. I am driven by a relentless curiosity and a desire to experience and experiment with new and untested methods. This experimental approach is a path to gaining magical insights into the world, akin to playing with shapes, colors, lines, spots, and diverse materials.

I find that inspiration often strikes during the act of creating. Waiting for the muse can be a lengthy and uncertain endeavor, so I prefer to engage in the process and let inspiration find me. Creativity is my time for self-reflection and meditation, a dialogue with myself and an exploration of both my inner world and the external one.

In my work, I strive to convey joy, evoke positive emotions, and bring peace, comfort, and light to the world. My hope is that viewers of my art can immerse themselves in an oasis of tranquility and serenity.

My sources of inspiration are the environment around me, including nature, wildlife, plants, the people I interact with, human relationships, and the emotions and experiences of daily life.
