More about this artwork

The painting presents an up-close depiction of a human eye, rendered in a detailed and contemplative style. The eye is centrally placed, surrounded by an array of finely brushed, radiating lines that suggest both eyelashes and a kind of dynamic energy or movement. The iris of the eye, instead of a typical human pattern, contains a spiraling form resembling a nautilus shell, giving the piece a surreal and dream-like quality. This spiral is finely detailed, drawing the viewer's focus inward, suggesting depth and introspectiveness. The colors used are muted tones of beige and brown, enhancing the organic and serene feeling of the artwork. The overall effect is both calming and intriguing, inviting the viewer to ponder the connection between vision and perception.

"For me, creativity is the inhalation and exhalation of existence, the breath of existence. Life, pierced by the Universe.

My favourite subject is nature. I just re-create it in my own way.

I bring out what the eyes cannot see - the inner breath of the earth, the moods of the seasons, the mysteries that cannot be put into words. Often it is so fragile that it is barely perceptible," says the author.

Lidija's work seeks to touch the mystery of nature, to discover the forgotten link that connects us to nature. She believes that each flower blossom is a reflection of the whole universe, containing the same complex code. This search is particularly evident in the artist's abstract works, where plastic forms meander and twist, leading the viewer's gaze deeper, urging him not to dwell on the surface. Such works turn the mind in a meditative direction, encouraging one to look and listen.
