Artist

Ugnė Žilytė was born in 1979. in Vilnius. 1997 graduated from the M. K. Čiurlionis National School of Arts, majoring in graphics.

While creating graphics I exactly know what I have to do. While painting I have a lot of doubts. So I am still trying to tame my canvases. Painting for me - spacious field of improvisation, and a great opportunity to enjoy the colours, the appearance and the process. When creating graphics I am what I can’t be, when painting I can be I want to be.
