More about this artwork

In this painting, fluffy, voluminous clouds dominate the sky over a serene landscape. The clouds, rendered in shades of blue and white, appear soft and almost tactile, floating gently above the horizon. Below the clouds, the landscape unfolds in vibrant green, suggesting lush, rolling hills. A hint of mountains or large hills looms faintly in the distance, their outlines muted and blending into the sky. In the forefront, there are small, vivid patches of trees and foliage, painted in bright yellows and greens, providing a stark contrast to the soothing colors of the sky. The scenery is bathed in a warm, ambient light, hinting at either a sunrise or sunset, casting a tranquil and somewhat melancholic mood over the entire scene. Small touches of red at the bottom suggest wildflowers or perhaps the tips of autumnal trees. The overall effect is one of peaceful reflection, inviting the viewer to pause and immerse in the quiet beauty of a Lithuanian landscape under a cloud-filled sky.

"Everyday. Night - day, day - night - it is a continuous and endless cycle of time, like a path to eternity. It is the rhythm of time, sometimes smooth, calm and plastic, sometimes jerky and violent and sometimes sharp. Painting is a path between day and night, a dotted line towards self-capture, self-knowledge, a deep sigh. There is no time in painting. It absorbs, engages, soothes, refreshes and uplifts. It is the light of day and night.

I am always looking for harmony of colours, spots, lines. An abstract narrative dominates my work. The paintings pulsate with the energy of free brushstrokes. Painting is an abstract rhyme of breath or wordless poetry. For me, it is about the state of being, merging with the fields, mountains, forest, river, city. Painting not only allows me to enjoy the play of light and shadows, the mysterious sense of space, but also to reflect on the relationship between man and nature and urban life," - says the author.
