More about this artwork

Vibrant nasturtiums nestle among lush green leaves in this vivid composition. The painting pulses with a rich palette of deep oranges and fiery reds of the flowers, contrasted starkly against the various shades of green leaves. Some leaves hint at decay with patches of yellow and brown, adding a touch of realism and depth. The overall impression is one of a dense, lively bed of flora, speckled with star-like white highlights that suggest either dewdrops or a playful touch of the artist's brush. The background, a mottled array of maroon and hints of darker shadows, sets off the greens and oranges prominently, making the colors pop with an almost tangible vibrancy.
