More about this artwork

The painting "Antigravity" by Arūnas Miliukas features a surreal landscape dominated by a large, floating brick structure reminiscent of a fortress or complex. Its architecture includes multiple rounded forms, protruding circular windows, and see-through portholes, with the building adorned by various abstract and unexpected elements such as tubular extensions and suspended cylindrical sections. These appendages are supported by chains and pillars with red-and-white striped patterns, which inject a whimsical, almost playful tone into the otherwise somber building. To the right of the structure, extending like an arm, is a ramp or bridge that gradually thins and bends downward, terminating in midair, its point directed towards a barren ground. Below the main complex, a section of the building hovers just above the earth, supported by similar patterned pillars. The background reveals a vast, muted landscape under a hazy sky, where a giant brownish sphere, possibly a celestial body or planet, hangs prominently in the sky. This object casts a subtle glow, illuminating part of the scene and contributing to the overall enigmatic and mystic quality of the artwork. The atmosphere is tinged with a sense of isolation and gravity-defying magic, inviting the viewer to ponder the laws of physics and reality in this imagined world.
