Oil on canvas
Width: 110 cm
I have always drawn. On blocks, on toilet doors, and later on paper at Kaunas J. Naujalis Art School and the State Art Institute.
The transparency of watercolour was replaced by acrylics, and later by oil. My painting, like everyday life, is constantly changing - images, themes, characters and, of course, colour.
In my latest paintings I am trying to grasp the mystery of the world around me, to create a vision of the associations of personal experience. Each work is like encounter, a meeting in the past tense. Reality and mysticism meet here, turning into new realities. We all have an individual perception of the work, which changes in the constant passage of time.
And I can't even promise myself that I won't change...
