More about this artwork

The painting depicts two peaceful lambs lying close together, resting on a ground that is textured with hints of dried grass. The lambs are rendered in soft, natural shades of white and beige, with meticulous attention to their fluffy wool and gentle features. Behind them, a halo-like circle in a bold yellow-gold hue frames them, enhancing the overall sanctity and purity associated with the title "Lamb of God". The artwork conveys a sense of tranquility and innocence, emphasizing the theme of gentleness and divine protection. The contrast between the softness of the lambs and the radiance of the halo provides a focal point that draws the viewer into a moment of contemplation.

The story of my watercolour and mine has a romantic beginning of love at first sight. It was one-sided for a while, but the capricious watercolour eventually appreciated my efforts and reciprocated. Closing the door on the business world from which I had come, I pledged my loyalty to her until "death do us part" or my fingers could no longer control the brush and my eyes were dark.

This new relationship has transformed my daily life and enriched not only my life but also my spiritual world. I found a new form of self-expression, I learned, I explored and it gave me great joy. I am a believer, so I see water and light as God's primordial substance from which everything was created at the beginning of time. These two substances are the main elements of watercolour. Light creates the colours and water controls them. It is up to me to 'feel' the complex divine 'kind' and try to get my eyes on the essence. So when I run out of inspiration, I know where to look for its inexhaustible source.
