More about this artwork

The painting depicts a tranquil pond scene, characterized by a soft, watercolor technique that blends colors and details gently. In the foreground, the reflective surface of the water captures the essence of light and shadow, featuring subtle shifts in blues and grays. Several boats, some overturned, rest along the bank, suggesting a moment of rest or abandonment. The background is softly defined, presenting a cluster of trees in various shades of green and blue, intimating spring or summer foliage. The overall atmosphere is serene and somewhat melancholic, inviting contemplation and a sense of stillness.

Living with watercolour, in watercolour - that's how I could describe myself. I admire its lightness, its unpredictability, its unique relationship with water. I find inspiration in nature, so perfectly created by God. I am also fascinated by the hustle and bustle of the city, its liveliness, its sounds, the theatre of shadows on the walls of the houses when the sun is shining, or the reflections in the city streets when it is raining. Colours are particularly important - it is the choice of colours that determines the development of the work, its content and mood. With my work I invite you to dream, to drift away to a place where it is good and peaceful... Somewhat mysterious, but safe... Have a good journey!

I have had solo exhibitions in Kėdainiai and Šiauliai. I have participated in international watercolour biennales, and my work has been exhibited in Slovenia and Albania during the International Art Festival.
