More about this artwork

In the painting "Melted Times III" by Regina Daugnorienė, an intriguing blend of soft, muted colors creates a dreamlike landscape. Dominated by shades of gray, white, and beige, the composition features fluid, melting forms that suggest a transient, almost liquid state. The upper portion of the artwork presents a vague resemblance to a cloudy sky, with wispy, flowing lines and washes of color that blend seamlessly into each other.Towards the center and lower sections, the painting becomes more dynamic and textured. Here, the delicate appearance of frothy bubbles and rugged, crystalline structures introduce a stark contrast to the softness above. These elements seem to cluster densely in some areas, creating patches of intense detail that resemble natural formations such as ice or mineral deposits. This overall effect is ethereal and evocative, playing with the viewers' perception and inviting multiple interpretations, perhaps alluding to themes of time, decay, and the natural processes of transformation and renewal.

The story of my watercolour and mine has a romantic beginning of love at first sight. It was one-sided for a while, but the capricious watercolour eventually appreciated my efforts and reciprocated. Closing the door on the business world from which I had come, I pledged my loyalty to her until "death do us part" or my fingers could no longer control the brush and my eyes were dark.

This new relationship has transformed my daily life and enriched not only my life but also my spiritual world. I found a new form of self-expression, I learned, I explored and it gave me great joy. I am a believer, so I see water and light as God's primordial substance from which everything was created at the beginning of time. These two substances are the main elements of watercolour. Light creates the colours and water controls them. It is up to me to 'feel' the complex divine 'kind' and try to get my eyes on the essence. So when I run out of inspiration, I know where to look for its inexhaustible source.
