More about this artwork

The painting is a mosaic of vibrant colors, predominantly in shades of blues, greens, and hints of yellow and orange. It depicts two figures, abstractly portrayed, engaged in what appears to be a serene and intimate conversation. The figures are enveloped in a lively, dappled light that simulates the dynamic play of sunlight filtering through leaves, perhaps suggesting a lush, outdoor setting in the midsummer. The texture and the cracked paint effect create a sense of age and timelessness, while the bright, joyful palette conveys a mood of celebration and nature’s vibrancy. The scene is peaceful and evocative, inviting the viewer to contemplate the simplicity and beauty of a quiet, shared moment.

I was born in 1970  in Panevėžys. In 1991 I came to Kaunas, where I studied and acquired higher education. From 1996 I live and work in Kaunas district. Since 2014 I have participated in painting symposiums and group exhibitions.

I am interested in the world of art since I was a child, but I dared to paint myself only a few years agoAfter long searches and  visiting various art schools I found my way into the art studio of a well-known artist Antanas Obcarskas. I began to attend his workshop and continue walking on razor's blades of creative pleasure and suffering.

After having learned the secrets of painting I enjoy strokes of expressive abstraction, creative outbursts, because for me, only painting can give a golden opportunity to feel “here and now” and to break free.

When I discovered painting I intuitively started to follow “tasting with the inside” style: go, listen, see, smell, taste and touch. I am like a “sponge” of all these senses and all of this transforms into my canvases and my art.
