Jūtė Stauskaitė's work is light and gentle. Fast, flowing, plastic line and translucent stroke, minimalist compositions have already become her signature. And the internationally acclaimed artist herself says that it is drawing that attracts her the most, because "drawing is the artist's cardiogram, which reflects all the vibrations of the artist's soul."
Jūratė's favourite motifs are those of a bird, a woman, and often a female bird. You will soon notice that they are almost always flying or dancing, the impulsive drawing of the artist beautifully captures the movement, and the work remains fresh, alive, breathing. Through these dances and flights, inner experiences and transformations are sensitively revealed and intuitively felt by the viewer.
She works in the field of printmaking, watercolour, painting, stage design, book illustration, writes articles and essays, collaborates in radio and television. Some of her most important activities include the establishment of the first private art school (1991), her pedagogical work, and her distinctive creative expression, which is considered one of the most significant artistic phenomena of the 1980s and 1990s.
Jūratė Stauskaitė's works have been acquired by the National Museum of Art (Vilnius, Lithuania); the M. K. Čiurlionis Art Museum (Kaunas); the MO Museum (Vilnius, Lithuania); the Modern Art Centre (MMC, Vilnius, Lithuania); the Ludwiks Museum (Koln, Germany); the National Gallery in Prague (Czech Republic), and the New Orleans Museum of Modern Art (USA).

Participated in international printmaking exhibitions (International Printmaking Exhibition in Toronto (Canada), International Printmaking Triennial in Frechen (Germany), Krakow (Poland), Fridrikstad (Norway), etc.
