More about this artwork

The painting features a collection of colorful toys arranged in a captivating composition. A plump, rosy-cheeked doll with wide, blue eyes and a pink bow in her hair sits prominently at the center. She is dressed in a lavender dress with a frilly white collar. To her sides are two large teddy bears; one bear is deep brown with a soft, friendly expression, and the other is a lighter brown, almost golden, with a red bow around its neck. A small, cheerful green bunny with a red bow tie and a tiny red car are also part of the lively assembly. The toys rest on a green and yellow block that enthusiastically spells out "ART" in bold, red letters. Scattered around the base are small paper candies and crayons, adding a playful touch to the scene. The backdrop is a light, soothing green, enhancing the overall warmth and charm of the setting.

Artist

"I was born in Vilnius in 1959.

I was always into drawing. In 1981  I graduated from the Vienožinskis 4-year art school in Vilnius, where such famous artists as A. Švėgžda and I. Piekuras taught.

The main genres of my work are landscape, still life, portrait. My favorite themes: people and nature. I think these are two inseparable things. Through my prism I reflect in my works what is important to me. Motifs of the beloved Vilnius also prevail in the painting."
