More about this artwork

This painting, "Sand tale II" by Dalia Čistovaitė, features a captivating pattern of wavy lines. The lines seem to ripple across the canvas, suggesting gentle movement. Dalia uses a cool palette dominated by various shades of blue, purple, and green. These colors bring a sense of calm and depth to the piece. The style is abstract, focusing more on form and color than on specific images. The texture looks rich, possibly from layering paint or using a unique technique to apply it. Overall, the artwork radiates tranquility, resembling waves or soft sand dunes. Dalia Čistovaitė has created a beautifully serene piece.

Artist

"The main theme that permeates the whole work is a human being and the protection of his soul, the twists and turns of spiritual quests, the discovery of experiences, the harmony between nature and a man. The  light in my paintings is both a symbol of the divine principle and an element of pictorial expression.  I use a variety of styles in my paintings - soft impressionism, abstract or a little bit of surrealism. My work is about how we all need that place, Paradise, where we can retreat from the day's work and the avalanche of information, to rest, to calm down, to look at ourselves and those around us and at the phenomena taking place in the world from a distance, to rethink our relationship with the people and events that are important to us. To be at peace with our soul and mind. And then plunge back into the flow of life, to live, create and change with new strength," says the artist, who creates light, calm and warm art. Her work aims to encourage the viewer to look at the world around us in a different, more sensitive way, to see it's bright side.
