More about this artwork

The painting features a composition dominated by earthy tones, primarily shades of brown and white, creating a soothing yet enigmatic ambience. The artwork is split into two major, interlocking sections, possibly canvases, that seem to blur the boundaries between each segment. The top section hosts what appears to be abstract interpretations of facial features, mostly eyes and possibly a mouth, formed through minimalistic but bold strokes. These are framed by several curves and a hint of shadowy contours that give depth to the elements. The bottom section continues the curvaceous theme, with flowing, organic forms suggesting parts of a figure, potentially a torso, rendered through smooth gradations of light and dark. A small, spiral motif stands out, floating near the upper right corner, adding a whimsical touch to the solemnity of the figures. The varying textures and subtle interplay of light across the painting evoke a sense of dynamic equilibrium, resonating with the title "Balance." The overall abstract form challenges the viewer to navigate through the fluidity and ambiguity of the composition, inviting personal interpretations.

Artist

The desire to create art has been with me my whole life. During my childhood I used to paint on all sorts of things like paper, walls, bedsheets, textbooks, sand and clothes. Now that desire has translated onto a canvas on which I feel most satisfied by expressing my inner world, which has always been the goal.

Resulting artwork reflects the search of comfort in our rapidly accelerating world. This feeling is revealed through the motifs of nature - textures, natural colors, rendition of animal, plant and human silhouettes. Nature has been very close and essential for me since childhood. While being in the forest I feel meaningful, at peace, accepted. Time slows down there and a clear inner voice emerges. A lot of ideas and inspiration are drawn from there and later this expierence is brought home and put on a canvas.

Over the years I broadened my creativity, skills and techniques by attending in Utena art school for 5 years. Later I chose to study graphic design in Vilnius Design College.

Recently I feel inspired by cubism and surrealism but over time the technique and the presenation evolve naturally. Therefore I allow myself constantly experiment and not get attached to certain colors genres or techniques.
