Eglė Tamulytė (b. 1988) is an active artist, who gained international recognition and currently is working in her homeland again. Eglė's paintings are filled with unseen, fantastic worlds, that reflect artist's interest in human nature and the questions of human existence. Person's place in the world, the balance between inner and outside world are the key themes. The author is interested in exploring what is real and what is imposed in the environment around us, how the environment affects the individual. All this is conveyed through bright colours and extraterrestrial figures that resemble strange inhabitants of other galaxies rather than humans.
The artist has presented over 50 solo and group exhibitions in Lithuania, Germany, USA, Holland, Sweden, Spain, Greece, Italy, France, Great Britain, Serbia, Colombia, etc. She holds a Master's degree in Printmaking (VDA), has received two scholarships from the Lithuanian Council of Culture and the Ary Stillman Prize.
