My name is Julija, I was born and grew up in Crimea, in an ethnic Lithuanian family. The colours of the surrounding nature - the sea, the mountains, the steppes - were my inspiration to start painting and remain my biggest influence.
When I came to Lithuania, I got a degree in fashion design. During my studies I painted fashion illustrations, portraits and did academic assignments related to clothing design. This specialisation gave me the knowledge and courage to experiment with colours and textures.
In the last couple of years I have suddenly found myself in abstract painting. The results are indescribable every time, the discovery of new tools and the feeling of freedom in creating. I am interested in finding colour combinations, rhythm and dynamics. I think a painting is complete when I start to see a plot in it. I hope you will also discover your own unique interpretation.
