The author is a member of the Lithuanian Artists' Union (since 1999) and the painters' section "Individualists" (since 2016).
Strolia regularly holds exhibitions of his works both in galleries and in various unexpected spaces (shops, parks, hotels, etc.). He is a regular participant in international land art exhibitions and plein air exhibitions.
The author constantly surprises with the creative change of expression and author's techniques, original and unusual formats of works. His creative field of interest is constantly changing and is also very diverse.
The main source of inspiration is the ever-changing relationship between nature and man, the creative search for the materiality of the work, the development of the theme (landscapes, abstractions, cycles of human figure).
He regularly participates in international projects and exhibitions in Lithuania and abroad (Bulgaria, Poland, Germany, Italy).
Marius Strolias' works have been acquired by private collectors in Lithuania, Poland, Japan, Germany and the Czech Republic.
The artist works extensively in various artistic disciplines (painting, printmaking, sculpture, assemblage, collage, installation, photography).
Marius Strolia has long been fascinated by the archaeomythological studies of the renowned professor of the University of California, Maria Gimbutiene (1921-1994), which is why his work often reflects mythological motifs and the archaic forms of Neolithic goddesses sculptures.
