More about this artwork

The painting features an abstract expressionist style with vigorous, dynamic brush strokes. Swirls and slashes of vibrant colors—teal, pink, red, white, and various shades of green—meld together, creating a chaotic yet harmonious blend. The strokes convey movement and emotional intensity, suggesting turmoil or perhaps the catharsis of a storm. Flecks of white, perhaps representing light or rain, add depth and contrast to the predominantly warm palette. The overall effect is one of resilience and intense vitality, as if the colors and strokes themselves are battling to forge coherence from chaos.

I was born in 1970  in Panevėžys. In 1991 I came to Kaunas, where I studied and acquired higher education. From 1996 I live and work in Kaunas district. Since 2014 I have participated in painting symposiums and group exhibitions.

I am interested in the world of art since I was a child, but I dared to paint myself only a few years agoAfter long searches and  visiting various art schools I found my way into the art studio of a well-known artist Antanas Obcarskas. I began to attend his workshop and continue walking on razor's blades of creative pleasure and suffering.

After having learned the secrets of painting I enjoy strokes of expressive abstraction, creative outbursts, because for me, only painting can give a golden opportunity to feel “here and now” and to break free.

When I discovered painting I intuitively started to follow “tasting with the inside” style: go, listen, see, smell, taste and touch. I am like a “sponge” of all these senses and all of this transforms into my canvases and my art.
