About the author
Kristina Kmitienė – graduate of the Vilnius Academy of Arts, author of texts for the magazine "Raktas", lecturer at St. Ignatius Loyola College in Kaunas, working with image design and beauty therapy students. In 2022 Kristina was a member of the evaluation committee of LAMA BPO entrance exams for college art studies.
Kristina has been informally studying psychology, psychotherapy and spiritual scriptures for more than 10 years, so the main topics of her artistic research are the human being and the perception of existence through art. Ornaments in Kristina's works symbolize obsessive thoughts constantly repeating in the head, which are sometimes so overwhelming that a person's self-awareness is no longer there. For Kristina, a woman means a human being who knows herself deeply, is centered and observes all internal processes.
