About the author
"Light, calm, with a touch of melancholy - that's how I could describe my work in a few words.
I like to use line drawing, which is very meditative and subtle. Sometimes you have to wait and sketch a lot before the line starts to 'flow' and create a visual narrative," says the artist.
Elegance is probably the best word to describe Eglė's work, but not the kind that requires a lot of effort, but a natural, organic elegance, the way the lines of her drawings seem to flow naturally, uninterrupted. Eglė's work is subtle, minimalist and uncluttered. Graceful.
The drawings are dominated by female and girl figures. Since the author does not provide a context, it is difficult to say anything about them at first glance. However, just like the author, the figures are not focused on the context, most of them are lost in their own thoughts or just in inner peace. It is the details that speak here - how the hand is held, how the head is tilted, what is held in the hands. Just listen and you will hear.
In 2010 was awarded bachelor's degree in Vilnius Art Academy.
