The artist Simonas Norbutas is convinced that two forces always flow through a sensitive person - creating and destroying, and that a person has to constantly manoeuvre between them; it is an eternal spiritual quest, an intense inner struggle, which the artist conveys in bright, contrasting colours.

In his work, Simonas often draws on observations of nature, which dictate the colour spots, lines, their seriousness and shapes, but it is important for the artist to create impulsively, not to re-draw sketches.
