About the author
Natalija Kriščiūnienė lives and works in Vilnius.
She graduated from Vilnius Academy of Arts. She has held 17 solo exhibitions in Lithuania and abroad.
She is an active, creative and constantly smiling artist. Her optimistic way is reflected in her work. She creates free, unrestricted compositions. Rich colours give a bright mood to each work.
The predominantly warm colour palette and the frequent recurrence of sun and light motifs are optimistic. Natalija sees the world like a small child: good, bright, full of joy and mystery. Her work is characterised by a musicality and harmony: balanced compositions and a rhythm of proportional lines, shapes and colours.
Her work is dominated by abstract images, symbolic motifs, signs of harmony between nature and man, which are given a distinctive spirit of creative ritual. The artist has a perfect command of the decorative and plastic language of art. Her subtle painting manner and individual poetic style convey the world of a sensitive artist, who has attracted many admirers. Kriščiūnienė's paintings have entered many collections in Lithuania and abroad.
