More about this artwork

The painting "Bloody Sky" by Arvydas Pučka encapsulates an intense and vibrant skyscape, portrayed through a rich tapestry of reds, oranges, and yellows that bleed together in a fiery panorama. This warm spectrum of colors gradually transitions into a darker, more ominous shade as it descends, suggesting a landscape or horizon barely visible beneath the weight of the brooding sky. The artist employs numerous vertical strokes that seem to mimic rain falling in a relentless downpour, enhancing the painting's sense of movement and tumult. These strokes in white and lighter hues starkly contrast with the depth of the red background, adding a textured, almost three-dimensional feel to the work. The painting is mounted on a green, rectangular, wooden plaque which frames the artwork in a simple, rustic manner, further emphasizing the artwork's natural, elemental themes.

Artist

I live in Vilnius, but most of my time I spent in the nature - Labanoras forest. I could say that Labanoras became my second home as well as the source of inspiration. Usually, inspiration and artistry is born by accident. I started to show interest in art since I was very young, so I can admit that creativity is everywhere and belongs to everyone. I mostly combine oil paint with surfaces such as linen canvas, wood or cardboard. I would say that my paintings are extraordinary because usually they provide old, ancient look and exclusive handcrafted frames. I think that the exclusiveness of frames is equivalent element to painting itself. It definitely doubles the opportunities of paintings design.

Painting gives me a lot of positive emotions and lets me to feel the real fulfilment.I always try to share the energy of my works with the world. That’swhy many painting of mine found their new owners in Poland, Germany, Israel, USA, Russia, etc.
