More about this artwork

The painting "Good Mood" by Rasa Kondrusevičienė features a dreamy, layered composition rich in textures and colors. The canvas is predominantly suffused with soft, warm tones—creamy whites, delicate yellows, and various shades of red and orange. These colors create a backdrop that suggests a light, airy atmosphere, perhaps reminiscent of a sunrise or sunset.Dotted throughout the upper portion of the piece are numerous small, circular spots that could resemble bubbles or small orbs, floating effortlessly. Their colors range from light yellow to deep orange, enhancing the overall warmth of the painting. Two bird-like figures, simplified in form and painted in a soft yellow hue, sit near the top. They seem to be perched quietly, possibly observing or merely existing in harmony with their surrounding environment.Adding another layer to the visual experience are blurry, script-like writings that sweep horizontally across the middle of the artwork in a faint red or burgundy. The writing is not legible, contributing to the painting's mysterious and ethereal quality.Below this, the lower portion of the canvas becomes more abstract and atmospheric, with patches of soft blue and hints of green, interspersed with bursts of red and yellow lines and marks that could be interpreted as flowers, splashes of paint, or merely abstract expressions.Overall, the painting exudes a calm, joyful energy, inviting viewers to lose themselves in its intricate depths and soothing palette.

Help

"Brush, canvas and paint are the best friends that help you go where no one has gone before. You give yourself, your thoughts, your dreams to the joy of painting. You immerse yourself in an extraordinary world of colours and sometimes sounds. Everything that touches the soul is reflected in the paintings. I would like everyone who looks at my works to feel a light of peace, joy and hope, even if only for a short time," says the artist about her work.

Indeed, light is at the heart of Rasa's work. She is interested in the way light shimmers in the grasses of the meadows, in the surface of the breaking waves. It is no coincidence that all of her works are serene and bright. The blue of the sky with the greenery of nature and the yellow of the sun in the paintings create an impression of freshness. As the artist tries to capture the play, flicker and shimmer of light, the landscapes often veer into abstraction.
