More about this artwork

The painting depicts two figures, each bearing distinct expressions and attire, composed in a strikingly symbolic posture. The foreground is occupied by a younger figure, a boy, who clutches a sword directly in front of him with both hands. His gaze is intense and forward, eyes wide open, radiating a sense of determination or defiance. His attire is a striped garment of blue, gray, and red tones, draped casually yet prominently around his lower body.Behind him stands an adult figure, taller and appearing more composed, who gently envelops the boy in a protective embrace. This figure is dressed in a long, flowing gown with bold, vertical red and white stripes. The expression on the face is calm, almost stoic, with closed eyes, conveying a sense of resignation or deep contemplation. The interaction between the two figures, enhanced by the contrast in their expressions and the vibrant colors of their clothing, suggests a narrative of youth seeking assertion and the complexities of guardianship and guidance. The setting and additional details are minimal, focusing the viewer’s attention on the figures and their emotional and physical interaction.

Artist

The experience was accumulated over several years of backpacking alone in Central Asia. I was introduced to the word "insider" at the age of 11. To this day, it is the main focus of attention, and art is a space to express this experience. I have had a pencil in my hand since I was a little girl. I define my work as symbolism. If you are not lazy, if you look deeper and make friends, the picture will open up to you.

My dynamic style is my desire not to accustom the eye to the same thing. Life is dynamic and unpredictable.

The works are philosophical, elegantly minimalist, perhaps gritty, but with the right attitude you can always see beauty and comfort.

Why are my works the way they are?

I want to remind the viewer not to forget how special he and his experience in life is.
