More about this artwork

The watercolor painting captures the ethereal beauty of a cluster of white flowers, possibly resembling daisies or chrysanthemums, amidst lush greenery. The blossoms are rendered with delicate, semi-translucent petals, their centers tinged with hints of pale yellow and soft greens. The foliage around the flowers is depicted in various shades of green, with some leaves showing darker green outlines and others highlighted by lighter, almost lime-green strokes. The background features a wash of blue and white, suggesting a hazy, perhaps early morning sky, which gives the scene an airy and light ambiance. The entire composition feels spontaneous and lively, as if capturing a brief, breezy moment in a garden bathed in sunlight. The artist's brushwork emphasizes movement and fluidity, adding to the painting’s overall impressionistic aura.

Aušra Sirutienė Oreigė is an artist who only began exploring the expressive possibilities of watercolour painting a few years ago. Since embarking on this journey, she has sought to master this subtle medium, striving to discover her own distinctive artistic voice. Aušra is especially attracted to producing small-format pieces that are rich in emotional intensity, capturing the energy and atmosphere of the moment in each work.

Her art stands out for its emphasis on botanical and natural motifs. She harnesses the transparency and spontaneous nature of watercolour to evoke the delicate vulnerability of the environment. The paints move fluidly across the paper, mirroring the organic motion of nature, while Aušra expertly finds equilibrium among the elements. She delights in layering light and colour, lending a sense of openness and weightlessness to her paintings.

Though watercolour is a relatively recent focus for Aušra, her relationship with art goes back much further. She graduated from the Department of Pedagogy at Telšiai Higher School of Art, then continued her education at Šiauliai University. Her professional background spans 22 years of teaching art and andragogy at the university level, along with substantial experience leading creative seminars, workshops, and art classes for adults.

Aušra Sirutienė Oreigė has been fully immersed in her creative pursuits since 2014. Her enthusiasm for inspiring creativity in others is equaled by her dedication to cultivating her own artistic voice, particularly within the radiant and evocative realm of watercolour painting.
