Help

Vilma Gataveckienė, a Lithuanian artist, has nurtured a love for drawing since her early years. She attributes much of her artistic growth to the guidance of her remarkable teacher, Ipolita Valeravičius, at Jonava Art School. Through her paintings, Vilma enjoys expressing her emotions and ideas, hoping to spark positive feelings in those who view her work. She also acknowledges the profound impact that her friends and fellow artists from the USA, Paul Cumes and Bob Mask, have had on her creative path.

Residing in Šiauliai, Lithuania, Vilma mainly creates art using oil paints. Her works are part of private collections not just in Lithuania, but also in the USA, Germany, and Switzerland. This global interest emphasizes the wide-reaching appeal of her artwork and underscores the bond she establishes with audiences worldwide.

In her artistic portfolio, Vilma offers inviting scenes drawn from her European travels and vistas of blooming meadows. She focuses on lively colors and expressive, bold brushwork, placing less importance on traditional draftsmanship or rigid perspective. With this method, her canvases take on the appearance of glowing, fluid tapestries, extending a sense of warmth and welcome to the viewer.

Her art is defined by a luminous, gentle color scheme and a dedication to creating comfort and peace. The bright mood and dynamic textures that run through Vilma’s paintings set them apart and ensure they leave a lasting impression, while her ongoing devotion to her artistry continues to move and enchant people both in Lithuania and internationally.
