I'm Sigita Paulauskienė. I was born and raised in Kaunas.
Since I was a child, I felt a tendency to art, so my mother took me that time Communist youth high school. I graduated there in enhanced art class. I continued to study at Stepas Žukas art technical school.
I started the creative path from jewelry making, and I've been doing this for 17 years. I've always liked colours and their consonances. I often take inspiration by observing nature, its subtle beauty, shapes and colour diversity, light and shadow. I am fascinated by both the whole nature and the smallest particles of it. Sometimes I can't take my eyes of a beautiful landscape, sometimes I cannot look back at the flower petal or rain drop...
Observing all those beauties, I had more and more thoughts of playing with colors on the canvas. When Quarantine started and forced closure at home, I found the right moment for a long-cherished desire to try out my ideas. I tried and I think I will never stop. When painting I feel like I’m participating in a miracle, art therapy when in blank canvas from paint and mood a new painting is born.
