Greta Skya was born and raised in the small Lithuanian town of Trakai. A self-taught artist, who from a young age, developed a fervent and intense passion for art, with inspiration coming from the work of her dear father, an avid Russian painter. At 19 years of age she moved to London where she studied performing arts. Currently resides in Vilnius, Lithuania. Using mostly oil on canvas and linocut printmaking to produce her work, Skya is an emerging artist, developing her own style in the form of portraits and human anatomy. Artistic growth and creative freedom are the main goals of Skya. With time she hopes to mature an unique expressive approach, find her niche and eventually be recognised and admired by art enthusiasts.
