Gražina Murelytė Ajauskienė was born in 1961 in Šiauliai, Lithuania. Growing up in this city, known for its rich cultural heritage, profoundly influenced her artistic perspective and provided the groundwork for her later creative endeavors. From a young age, she exhibited a keen interest in the arts, an enthusiasm that deepened throughout her studies.
In 1979, Gražina completed her studies at the distinguished National M.K. Čiurlionis Art School, an institution celebrated for fostering many of Lithuania's prominent artists. This foundational training equipped her with comprehensive experience in both classical and modern art disciplines, facilitating her artistic development.
She went on to attend the State Art Institute—now Vilnius Art Academy—and graduated in 1989. Since earning her degree, Gražina Murelytė Ajauskienė has been an active participant in the Lithuanian art community, regularly joining Artis’s revolutions plein airs and exhibitions since 2015. Her ongoing participation in these creative assemblies reflects her dedication to refining her craft and connecting with fellow artists.
Gražina’s work has been showcased in group exhibitions throughout Italy, France, Germany, and Lithuania. She has taken part in collective exhibitions since 1988 and, from 2015 onward, has curated twelve solo exhibitions, demonstrating her commitment to presenting her art to a wider audience. Her unwavering engagement with both international and local art events underscores her important role in the contemporary art scene.
