Kęstutis Preidžius is an artist whose creative path was shaped by his upbringing in the countryside, where he was immersed in the surrounding beauty of nature. This setting has remained his chief source of inspiration, driving his wish to depict its vivid colors, ever-changing light, and distinctive forms. From a young age, he endeavored to reproduce these natural marvels first on paper, and later, on canvas. As his technique matured, he discovered that his greatest affinity was for the genres of still life and landscape painting.

Preidžius identifies as a realist, attributing significant value to the genuineness and precision of the forms he paints. He delights in capturing the smallest elements, whether it involves counting each branch on a tree, representing individual blades of grass, or illustrating the gentle movement of water. His keen attention to such details defines his realistic style, with the objective of achieving a sincere and accurate depiction rather than merely presenting a general impression.

In his artworks, Kęstutis Preidžius aims to awaken particular moods or atmospheres within the viewer. He aspires to express the calmness of dawn, the mist heavy with dew, the soft glow of an evening, or even the inviting scent of freshly baked bread. Through his paintings, he seeks to offer a vivid visual encounter that stirs both the senses and the emotions of those who observe his work.

Over the course of his career, Preidžius has staged twelve personal exhibitions in multiple Lithuanian cities, sharing his skill and commitment with diverse audiences. He has been a member of the Folk Artists' Union since 1990 and, since 2006, has held recognized artist status, further solidifying his role within Lithuania’s artistic community.
