Like many others, she started making art as a child and continued to cultivate this interest into adulthood. Although she initially pursued a career in a field unrelated to art or creativity, her enduring love of drawing ultimately guided her toward a formal education in art.

She decided to attend the Justinas Vienožinskis Art School, a step that played a crucial role in developing her artistic abilities. For three years, Irena dedicated her evenings to enhancing her skills, working persistently with pencils, paintbrushes, and pens. Her dedication enabled her to polish her technique and delve deeper into her creative capabilities.
