More about this artwork

The painting is a vibrant and chaotic tapestry of colors and shapes. It teems with what appears to be a myriad of human figures, animals, and floral motifs, interspersed with abstract elements. At first glance, the forms seem to float freely, evoking a dream-like or surreal quality. The color palette is dominated by blues and greens, punctuated with reds, pinks, and whites, creating a lush, almost underwater or forest-like atmosphere.Figures and forms overlap and merge into one another, with facial features, limbs, and objects blending into a continuous flow across the canvas. This interconnectedness may symbolize the complexity and interconnectedness of life itself. Some figures appear joyous, dancing or in expressive poses, while others are more subdued or enigmatic. There are elements that resemble trees, leaves, and flowers, suggesting a natural setting or emphasizing the theme of life and growth.Intricate patterns and textures add a tactile dimension to the work, engaging the viewer's sense of sight and touch imaginatively. Various objects and creatures that resemble birds, fish, or fantastical beings add to the whimsical and mysterious nature of the scene, inviting viewers to interpret and explore the canvas in personal and diverse ways. The overall impression is of a vivid, dynamic celebration of life in all its forms and complexities.

I am a painter whose works have been displayed at multiple local exhibitions here in Lithuania. My technique primarily involves the use of watercolour and oil on canvas, combined to get an aesthetically pleasing synergy of colour and form. Living in an animal farm deep within Lithuanian countryside, surrounded by velvet lakes and untamed woods, my inspiration comes from nature, local folktales and fantasies they arouse. I am inspired by my personal experiences, some, as an artist in Lithuanian countryside, and thus when asked to explain my imagery I often find myself at a loss, unable to ascribe a single source of meaning. I graduated from the National School of Art and in 2008 I was awarded the Master of Arts by Vilnius Academy of Arts in Lithuania.
