I am a glass artist.
I studied at a higher school of art, specialising in interior design. I graduated from the Vilnius Academy of Arts, where I obtained my bachelor's and master's degrees in glass studies.
I have been working with glass for 16 years. This has allowed me to clearly feel, understand and convey the nuances and subtleties of this art and to combine them in order to meet the expectations of the client. Therefore, I believe that in that time I sufficiently understand and have mastered glass and its properties.
Here you can see my original works of individual and exclusive design for interiors and various occasions. The works are created using glass decoration. The composition is formed by combining clear and frosted glass. The materials and techniques used are as varied as possible: metal (aluminium, copper, brass), baked and unbaked sheet glass, stained glass, stone. The glass is frosted, painted in various shades, changing from one colour to another, and a number of graphic elements are introduced. Although glass is a difficult material, if its properties are understood and used to its advantage over other materials (e.g. transparency and light transmission), and if the standard view of the potential of glass is changed and it is given a wider range of applications, it can be used to produce an original result. And when touched by an artist's hand, glass warms up and becomes a cosy home detail...
